Murray River Cruises
Scenic river cruises, winery visits, spit roast dinner cruises, take your pick. Mildura and Wentworth are the places to be if you would like a relaxing cruise on an old wood fired paddles steamer, and the prices start from $35 (full adult fare)for a 2 hr cruise.

PS Melbourne
The best known (and oldest) of the paddle steamers is PS Melbourne. Built in 1912, she still has the wood fired boiler, is 98ft in length, and plies the river twice a day.

PV Rothbury
Refitted with a modern diesel engine, the Rothbury is a regular sight on the Murray. She does daily cruises from the Mildura Wharf, through lock 11.

PS Ruby
Built in 1907, the PS Ruby is based at Wentworth and available for public inspection. Cruises are irregular, so you
will need to find out from the Wentworth Information Center when the next one is due to depart.

PS Melbourne
PS Melbourne at Lock 11
Possibly the best known paddle steamer in Australia, the PS Melbourne makes twice daily cruises down the Murray river. 98ft length, and rated for a maximum of 300 passengers.

PV Rothbury
The PS Rothbury is slightly smaller than the Melbourne, at 88ft in length and rated for a maximum of 175 passengers. The Rothbury uses a modern Gardiner diesel engine.
Family Day Cruise.Daily. This is a cruise down through lock 11, and continuing down the Murray.
Trentham Estate Winery Visit. Thursdays only. 5hr duration, departing at 10am and returning 3pm.
Spit Roast Carvery Dinner Cruise. Daily. 3hr duration, departing 7pm and returning to Mildura Wharf at 10pm.
PS Ruby
PS Ruby on the Darling and Murray river confluence
Built in 1907 and based at the Port of Wentworth, the PS Ruby is owned by the Wentworth Shire and maintained by a band of enthusiastic volunteers. The PS Ruby is open for public inspection, and can be found at Fotherby Park, Wentworth port.
